Project Experience: Spoiled Product

A producer of cured meats needed to provide testing results to their insurance carrier as part of a claim for reimbursement. They were claiming the product had spoiled. EMSL was called to provide FDA/BAM and AOAC approved methods to determine bacteria levels in the meat products. EMSL was able to show that the meat products were not acceptable for human consumption and verifying spoilage.
