The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) recently posted information about the recall of a shampoo by an international manufacturer due to the possible presence of microbial contamination. Distributors in New York and California handled the product and the manufacturer reports the shampoo may have been further distributed to other states.

A recent article in The Gazette found that some 75% of cannabis consumer advisories and recalls over the last three years in Colorado were due to yeast and mold concerns in the products. Similar problems have been occurring in other states that allow cannabis and also have state limits for these all too common contaminants.
